2008 Upcoming Cars!

A lot of you guys are interested in buying a new car in and around the festive season of 2009. And the main aim will be to get the latest cars available in the market. Automakers are expecting a boost in auto sales in the coming festive season and a lot of cars are lined up for launch. We will get a list of summaries of the latest car cars that will be releasing in India.

Toyota Corolla Altis

The new Corolla Altis will make its debut in the 5th of September to take on the likes of the highly successful Honda Civic. The Altis will be equipped with a 1.8L petrol engine that produces a 132bhp of power. The Corolla will be available both in a 4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmission. The most impressive part is the storage areas, which it is said to have 22 locations. The features, the new interiors and space has improved nicely. And yes a very competitive one to the Civic. The Corolla Altis will start from 13Lakhs for the manual and 15.5Lakhs for the automatic.

2009 Honda City


Probably the most awaited car in 2009. Lots of pictures are circling around the web. But the main thing is that the City will be launched in India by September or October. We have some great pictures in our blog, which can be found here, here & here.


2009 Maruti Suzuki Alto

The 2009 Maruti Suzuki Alto will be launched in October. This cute, funky little car is set for launch during the festive season. The car is priced competitively at 3-4Lakh Rupees. The A-star will come with the latest engine series, that is the K-series 1.0L engine, also the 1.2L engine. The 1.2L engine will be used to take on the Hyundai i10.

Fiat Linea

The Fiat Linea will make its debut in November. The Fiat Linea which was designed by the ‘Fiat Style Centre’ made its debut in Istanbul with a beautiful show to unveil the Fiat Linea with the new red fiat badge. The Fiat Linea will be manufactured in Brazil, Russia, China and yes our very own land India. The Fiat Linea has 2 engines launched in Turkey, the 1.3 multijet diesel engine which is found in the swift, and a 1.4 petrol engine. There is another engine powered by the new 1.9 Flexfuel engine that shoots 130 bhp. The Interiors are great and upmarket products are used.

2008 BMW 7 series

The new BMW 7 series will be in India by November. The new BMW will be loaded with features that will make your mind blow away. The styling of an artist, the wheels of a beast, the engine of a monster, the space for a palace, performance as clear as crystal, the quality unexpectable, the car unbelievable.  Yes, thats how i describe the BMW 7 series!

Hyundai i20

The Hyundai i20 which will be placed between the i10 and the Hyundai accent, will be launched in India by the month of November. The i20 will be price between 4.5-6L and will take on the new Skoda Fabia, Suzuki Swift and the upcoming Fiat Grande Punto. A diesel variant of the i20 will also be considered, after the launch.

2009 Mitsubishi Lancer


Mitsubishi plans to launch its Lancer in October. Mitsubishi India is remaking its position in India with aggressive plans and aggressive cars that will increase their presence in India and to build the brand image and trust among the Japanese company along with the Indian partner – HM. The new Lancer aims directly at the Civic and Corolla. Under the hood of the new Lancer, you would find a 4 cylinder 16V 2.0L MIVEC petrol engine that would produce a class leading 152bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 198Nm @ 4250rpm.

Mitsubishi Outlander

Mitsubishi Motors India will star in the fastest-growing SUV market when they launch the Mitsubishi Outlander. The Outlander is a very promising competitor to the CRV and the recently launched Chevrolet Captiva, and will be priced at an impressive 15.5-16L range. The Mitsubishi will be the cheapest 7-seater SUV next only to the Endeavour. The Outlander will be hosted with the latest features and will be powered by the popular 2.4L, 4 cylinder MIVEC petrol engine that produces 168bhp and torque of 226Nm. The petrol engine will also have a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifting

Mahindra Ingenio

The Ingenio, is an MPV from M&M which will take on the Innova. The Ingenio is expected to launch in October or November. M&M has been doing a lot of tests to complete the car as it will also be used for export. M&M is really on this MPV as it hopes to conquer in the foriegn markets with the Ingenio. The Ingenio will have an all aluminium 4 cylinder 2200cc CRDi Turbocharged engine running 4 valves per cylinder and will be able to produce 140Bhp.

Fiat Grande Punto

The Punto is said to be released in the month of September or October. A big loss for Maruti, because the engines that the Swift offer for the Diesel version is the same that the Grande Punto has. So this will be a huge advantage for Fiat as they will be having the same engine from a popular car that offer better interiors with more space and more sportier styling.

Ford Ikon Facelift

The once upon a time used to be awesome car, the Ford ikon still runs with an oxygen mask. The Ikon will be getting a faclift, i mean it already got facelifted, only release is expected. There will be a few minor changes in the interiors like, beige dash,etc and some exterior changes like the change of headlight.

Toyota Innova Facelift

The most successful MPV of the Indian roads, the successor of the qualis and the main profit lender of Toyota will also be getting a facelift and will be released in December.
