The all new new Indica, christened the Indica Vista will be launched officially tomorrow, that is the 23rd August. Before the official launch, brochure were leaked and is all over the net. The new Indica will co-exist with the existing Indica, of which the Vista being the highest version.
The car will be launched with 3 engine options 1.2L Saffire (petrol), 1.3L Quadrajet diesel and the 1.4L turbocharged inter-cooled engine. The 1.2 Safire Petrol produces 65bhp and a torque of 96Nm. The 1.3L quadrajet pumps out 75bhp and torque of 190NM @ 1750rpm.

Note that this is the first Official pictures of the 2010 Chevrolet Cruze, which will be the Chevrolet Optra when it reaches India. GM is currently running on losses, so they hope to catch up with the market with small cars. The 2010 Chevrolet Cruze/Optra is said to be launched in 2009 end. Yes, the first time I saw this car i too thought that this was the Lamborghini Reventon. This car is from Veno Automotive, which is from Poland. This company is controlled by private equity fund Heros Capital, originated from the UK. It is a new company, starting off to compete with majors like Lamborghini and Ferrari. The name is not revealed yet, so gotta put some stylish name.

Go back a few years.. say like, 3-4 years, when the Honda Civic was not born. The Toyota Corolla totally ruled the segment. Some said that no other car can get near it. Some said that Corolla is a home of luxury. Some said Corolla is a business mans car. Yes, probably the most respected petrol car in the below 15Lakh category. Then.. comes Honda with a plan, the same plan that had introduced the Honda Civic in the same category as the Toyota Corolla. The Corolla lost its image, the fame, the looks, everything. Everything taken away by the Civic. On September 5th, the all new Corolla, christened the Altis will aim at competing with the Civic in all ways. Lets wait and see if renaissance does the job.
The Corolla Altis is like a mini Camry. Amazing styling, a very sporty front and a contemporary rear. The bumper is crafted well and matches the car, giving it a low and sporty appearance. The Altis will be equipped with a 1.8L petrol engine that produces a 132bhp of power. The Corolla will be available both in a 4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmission.

Yes, another facelift from Ford. Old news, but its still a news. The Ikon started off like the Fiesta did, got great response, made it a “drivers” car and became a common sight in the road, being the luxury car at that time. The Ford Ikon will be getting a facelift and will be entering the market soon. This facelift is similar to the Fiesta’s, where only the frontal part is worked out and the rear is left the same.
The interior style is being changed a little, like new seat fabrics, revamped instrument clusters and new dials. The front part of the car gets new European styled headlights and a Fiesta-like nose and an all new bumper with fog lights. The rear gets clear tail lamps.

Ford has started making the all new Ford Fiesta, which is the 2009 version in Cologne, Germany. The Cologne factory, in which ford had invested $674 million to modernize it. In this plant, Ford will be able to make up 1,48,000 Fiesta by the end of the year.
Ford has plans for a small car in India, which most propably would be the Ford Ka or a car based on the Ka’s platform. But what a great idea would be introducing the Fiesta hatch at 5-6 Lakh range and add up a diesel engine that will compete with the Fabia and the upcoming Honda Jazz.
